As the light diminishes and the temperatures drop, New Haven's neediest families are worse off than ever before.

THE JEWISH FAMILY SERVICE FOOD PANTRY CANNOT KEEP UP WITH THE DEMAND!  THE SHELVES ARE EMPTY!

There just haven't been enough food contributions to keep up with the demand for basic groceries.  While the situation now is acute, there will be a constant, ongoing need for food at the Food Pantry, now more than ever, because the financial crisis is pushing so many families to the brink of disaster and beyond.

We at TBS have an ongoing commitment to support the work of the Hamden Food Bank, but we can certainly help the JFS Pantry by adding a second collection box for Kosher staples such as soups, canned goods, tuna, vegetables, instant oatmeal, juices--juice boxes, cans, bottles,  cold cereal, rice, pasta

Please bring a donation when you come for a meeting, when you are picking up children from K'Tanim or Hebrew School, when you attend the Hanukkah party on December 20 or when you come for the Men's Club breakfast on December 25.   If we all do a little together, we can make a big difference!
