Our section of Walnut Grove Cemetery is located in a very beautiful location and is apart from the rest of the cemetery. Our area is divided into two parts, one for Jewish burials and a second section designated for mixed marriage interments and known as the Yale Jewish Community Cemetery and run by the Slifka Center. The cemetery is fully maintained by the Walnut Grove Cemetery Association.
Directions to Walnut Grove Cemetery: 14 miles from TBS
Take Route 15 (Wilbur Cross Parkway) North to Exit 66.
Turn rights at the end of the ramp onto Route 5 (Colony Road).
Proceed to the 4th traffic light.
Bear left on Route 71 (Old Colony Road).
At stop sign, turn left, go under narrow bridge and turn right following Route 71 (approx. 1.5 miles).
Walnut Grove Cemetery is on the left. (Route 71 - 817 Old Colony Road)
From the Main Gateway, follow the cemetery roadway to the right.
The cemetery (Section K-West) is in the northwest corner of the cemetery.
The Alling Street Cemetery is the original TBS cemetery and is now almost completely full.

Head South on Whitney Avenue toward New Haven
Turn right on Putnam Avenue
Turn left on Dixwell Avenue (Route 10)
Follow Dixwell Avenue, Alling Street is on the left
