Temple Beth Sholom works with Covenant to Care for Children (CCC), a nonprofit, private agency partnering with faith communities to meet the needs of abused, neglected, and impoverished children and teens. CCC continues to see dramatic increases in the numbers of children needing help.  As winter approaches, they anticipate a growing population without winter coats.

They are requesting that when you are out purchasing a winter coat for your child or yourself, you take a moment to purchase one more child’s coat.  Or when you are making room in the closet and find that last year’s coat which is outgrown but is not very worn and is suitable for a second life, you make that a donation to CCC.  They will need winter coats for children of all ages, genders and sizes.

I am hoping that Temple Beth Sholom can give them at least twenty coats.  I will have a box in the back hall where you can drop off your donation.

Winter is going to be cold inside and out. Please help Covenant to Care for Children keep our state's kids warm, healthy, and thriving.
